SeedSavers Meeting – June 20 2021

The photo this month is of seedling trays of various plants getting started now for the spring. Plants like lettuce grow quite happily through the colder months of the year and will even germinate and grow on while snow is hitting the ground around. They will grow slower but still be ok through the cold periods. There are a lot of plants like this that should be considered for the winter. Garlic many of the other alliums (onion family) grow well during the winter as do Broad Beans, Brassicas (cabbage and kale family) and many of the leafy greens such as rocket.

It’s that time again!
This is just a quick reminder that the next scheduled meeting for the year 2021 of the Mid Blue Mountains SeedSavers is on at the Bullaburra Progress Hall this coming weekend.
