This upcoming meeting we will be focussed on the practical aspects of seed saving including harvesting, filtering/sieving and cleaning seeds along with packing and storage – and labelling!. We will also be going over the process of taking cuttings and how to get the best out off using things like tubers, corms, divisions and other methods of reproducing plants. This is a good time of the year to think about reproducing your favourite varieties of things like mint and other herbs and also to plan how to build up your numbers of fruiting plants like berries and currants etc. We still have little growing and harvesting time as we go into the last month or so of sunny warm weather. Bring your plant material and seeds from this current season and we will discuss how to process them.

This is just a quick reminder that the meeting for March 2025 of the Mid Blue Mountains SeedSavers is on at the Bullaburra Progress Hall this coming weekend.

As usual we will spend some time taking about the current seasonal planting and harvesting and swapping/packing seeds and swapping seedlings and cuttings between members.

Come along and talk about growing things with like minded people.
